Tryto reset the battery. Power off the machine and disconnect everything from the machine. Check whether there is a small pinhole on the back of the machine. Not all models have a pinhole. If pinhole is present, press into the hole for 5 s with a bent paper clip without a sheath. Then press the on/off switch continuously for 20 s.
Connectthe battery back on the back of computer. Connect the charger cable back and then turn on the computer. If you donโt see a reset pin hole on the back of laptop or if you are not able to remove the battery (if it is inbuilt) then please unplug all the cables and devices out of laptop. Hold the power button for 1 minute.

AspireE1-570 Battery not charging. ishaw Member Posts: 4. October 2014 edited March 31. Recently I have had some issues with the battery in my laptop not wanting to charge. The battery is fine when I have it plugged in but when it is plugged in it won't charge. If I let the battery fully die out I can't get it to charge at all.
Thereis also a orange blinking light, always on regardless of whether plugged-in, in the upper left corner of the laptop. Looks like the battery indicator. When you click on the same Icon the pop-up says fully charged, unplug the power cord and the laptop shuts off after a few minutes of being unplugged.
May2014. My V5-571 is just over 1 year old and is very sparingly used. Recently I see that the battery is not charging. It says "0% available (plugged in, not charging)". However, battery indicator on the taskbar does momentarily show "charging" for a second or so.
Thebattery seems ok and charged but still does not provide power to the laptop. This is what I did and solved the problem: I opened the back cover from the laptop, (make sure you remove the hard disk before because depending on your model the data strip will not allow you to remove the cover).
