On Steam, it starts with an initial ~2GB download then the game downloads further content from the Guild Wars servers as needed depending on where you are and where you go in the game (or you can force it to download everything [wiki.guildwars.com] if you prefer). The whole game is ~4GB.

1. Guild Wars 2 is a true casual MMORPG. No matter how long or frequent you take breaks from the game, Guild Wars 2 will always wait for you.
