My mate just had a local landrover specialist re-chassis his tidy top spec Td5 Defender. He has a good job, and didn't want to do it himself, although he would be very capable of doing so, he is too busy. The chassis, labour, and the VAT on both came to £7,500. Easy to replace in 10 minutes per side, these make a world of difference in reducing the slop in the drivetrain! We run a Defender with a 5.0 V8 Engine (450HP 550NM torque) with Limited slip differentials, and we have not broken a pair yet, well proven!
